Anti-Fraud Policy & Technology
We ensure advertisers only pay for real human engagement. Read our stringent anti-fraud mechanisms and policies.
Real-Time IP Filtering
Our system maintains a live database of Datacenter IPs, Tor exit nodes, VPNs, and known proxy servers, instantly blocking artificial requests.
Device Fingerprinting
We analyze User-Agents, screen resolutions, and browser headers to detect emulators, headless browsers, and click-farm hardware.
Strict Frequency Capping
Advertiser budgets are protected via aggressive frequency caps. Duplicate clicks or impressions from the same IP within a set timeframe are rejected.
Manual Compliance Audits
Our compliance team routinely reviews publisher traffic sources, CTR anomalies, and conversion patterns to manually identify sophisticated fraud rings.
At ViralNex, ensuring the integrity of our traffic is our highest priority. Ad fraud damages the ecosystem, drains advertiser budgets, and unfairly penalizes legitimate publishers. This Anti-Fraud Policy outlines the prohibited activities and the strict enforcement actions we take against violators.
1. Zero-Tolerance Policy
ViralNex operates on a strict zero-tolerance basis regarding ad fraud. Any Publisher or user found attempting to manipulate our systems, inflate metrics artificially, or defraud Advertisers will face immediate account termination without the possibility of appeal.
2. Prohibited Activities
Publishers are strictly prohibited from generating impressions, clicks, or conversions through any of the following deceptive or artificial means:
- Bot Traffic & Scripts: Utilizing automated clicking tools, traffic bots, crawlers, headless browsers, or any custom software designed to mimic human interaction.
- Incentivized Traffic: Paying, rewarding, or encouraging users to click on ads, view popups, or complete offers (unless explicitly permitted in a specific campaign).
- Traffic Exchanges & PTC Sites: Sourcing traffic from Paid-To-Click (PTC) networks, auto-surf programs, or cheap click-exchange platforms.
- Deceptive Placements: Using invisible iframes, zero-pixel hidden frames, stacked ads, or misleading ad placements designed to trick users into accidental clicks.
- Proxy & VPN Abuse: Intentionally routing traffic through VPNs, Proxies, Tor networks, or Data Centers to manipulate Geographic (GEO) targeting or bypass frequency caps.
3. Our Detection Mechanisms
We employ a multi-layered approach to filter invalid traffic (IVT) in real-time:
- Pre-Bid Filtering: Requests originating from known malicious IPs, datacenters, or suspicious User-Agents are blocked before an ad is even served or an advertiser is billed.
- Post-Click Analysis: We monitor click velocity, Time-to-Click, and conversion rates. Anomalies (such as an impossibly high CTR) trigger automatic account flags for manual review.
- Advertiser Feedback & S2S Data: We actively use Server-to-Server (S2S) postback data from advertisers to gauge traffic quality. Traffic that fails to convert consistently relative to industry benchmarks is flagged.
4. Enforcement and Penalties
4.1. Immediate Account Suspension
If our automated systems or manual compliance team detects fraudulent activity, the offending Publisher account will be locked immediately. All active ad tags will be disabled.
4.2. Forfeiture of Earnings
Any account terminated for fraud will forfeit 100% of their pending balance. This includes both fraudulent earnings and legitimate earnings, as a penalty for violating our Terms of Service.
4.3. Advertiser Refunds
Funds confiscated from fraudulent publisher accounts are redistributed back to the affected Advertisers. ViralNex guarantees that Advertisers will not pay for traffic that our system successfully identifies as invalid.
5. Advertiser Protection Guarantee
We stand by the quality of our network. Advertisers utilizing our platform are protected by our real-time filtering engine. If you believe your campaign has been subject to sophisticated fraud that bypassed our initial filters, you must report it within 7 days with supporting server logs. Our compliance team will investigate and issue account credits if invalid traffic is verified.
6. Reporting Fraud
If you suspect a publisher is violating our guidelines or if you discover a vulnerability in our tracking system, please contact our compliance team immediately. We take all reports seriously.
